Deaconess Community of the LCA Audit Reports 1968-1978

This series comprises audit reports for the Deaconess Community of the Lutheran Church in America (LCA). These are audits of the community conducted separately from those of the corporations that managed the assets of the community once held by its predecessors, the United Lutheran Church in America's Mary J. Drexel Home and Philadelphia Motherhouse of Deaconesses and the Lutheran Deaconess Motherhouse and Training School, Baltimore, Maryland. Reports date from 1968-1978. Audits from 1969-1977 include an accountant's report, and exhibits of the balance sheet and note to financial statements, the statement of changes in reserve account current funds, the statement of changes in restricted current funds, the statement of changes in endowment funds, receipts and expenditures, and supporting schedules. The audit for 1978 includes the auditor's report, and financial statements for assets, liabilities, and fund balances; changes in unrestricted current funds, changes in restricted current funds, changes in endowment funds, and receipts and expenditures. This report also includes supplemental information for investments, the Deaconess Co-operative Fund, administrative expenses, operating expenses for the Philadelphia and Omaha motherhouses, and training expenses.
